Erm....the UK is the fastest growing economy in the G7 under Labour. Labour are investing £326bn in the NHS, Education, Housing, Energy, Transport and Welfare. Waiting lists have fallen by 240k Energy bills dropped by 7% in July with more cuts in Oct and Jan 2026. Mortgages are also down.
Labour backs closer EU ties to boost trade, jobs, and investment. Its deal lowers barriers, aiding growth, while protecting workers' rights—making it a pro-prosperity, pro-Europe party. It's deal will increase growth by 2% by 2030.
Labour's policies on Europe include: Closer Security and Policing Cooperation - Labour supports closer ties on crime and border security, including: Re-engagement with Europol and Eurojust, Data-sharing agreements to help tackle terrorism, smuggling, and trafficking
Labour aims to improve the UK-EU Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA) by: Reducing trade barriers, particularly for small businesses and agriculture; negotiating mutual recognition of qualifications, seeking veterinary agreements to reduce food checks at borders
Labour favours closer cooperation with the EU to tackle illegal migration, particularly smuggling gangs. This may involve working more closely with Frontex and joint operations, but not adopting freedom of movement.
These policies will mean closer integration with Europe providing closer security and Policing ties, with greater foreign policy co-operation and deeper economic ties. This aligns with our European values and will drive up growth in the UK.
While we may one day re-join the EU that can only start with deeper integration through security and economic ties. From their we can rebuild our European ties to eventually rejoin the EU. We can not do this too quickly and have to bring the public with us.
