It is open sauce so expect some jank but I find it works well with Olympus. I have noticed influencer paid hype behind Capture One bringing AI ease of use.

I am kinda old and got frustrated with Gimp many, many years ago when I wanted to work with 16 bit files and it only supported 8 bit :P I came to the conclusion that only commercial software would properly support commercially important features. Used Aperture 2006-2015, Capture One 2015-present

Yeah I tried GIMP ages ago and have never tried it again out of spite. This is sane with a startup explaining the interface and workflow. More info explaining options on their website.
