There's no advantage from being trans. If there was, every trans athlete (I'm assuming you mean trans women) should be taking first places , every time. Trans gold medalists should be everywhere. They're not. It's a red herring. It's about GOP wanting votes, distraction of $$$$ cost of everything

No, because there are very few of them competing. Read the studies. There literally is a physical advantage to people who have gone through male puberty. There are studies. By scientists lol. This isn’t my opinion.

You know that estrogen and T-blockers WILL weaken muscle mass and decrease overall performance in people who have gone through male puberty, like how testosterone makes someone stronger and increases performance. Studies ACTUALLY show that trans and cis women have similar performance in all areas.

bjsm.bmj.com/content/bjsp... "Notwithstanding, values for strength, LBM and muscle area in transwomen remain above those of cisgender women, even after 36 months of hormone therapy." Not MY words. From the study.

Way to cherry pick from that like a champ! The study also states that all of those value DID GO DOWN, even in the first 4 months of hrt. And they did stay above that of cis women, but just during the FIRST 3 years. Also:

"And they did stay above that of cis women, but just during the FIRST 3 years" So trans women should have to be on hormones for at least 3 years? Or before that is fine and they'll just have a slight advantage (but it DID go down)?

Also, yeah maybe we do make it so you have to be on hormones for 3 years to play, which means we should make sure that they are readily available to those who would like them.

Have you seen some of these CIS women playing? They are like these 6-foot-6 behemoths going up against these 5-foot-3 women. Having trans women with a slight advantage isn't going to realistically change a whole lot 😅

Every study will point out there are miniscule differences especially after 2 years on hormones. Latest studies will point out that with hormones, it's harder for trans women to compete with a maybe larger body but less lung capacity.

“Trans gold medalists should be everywhere” is a bad argument because there are so so so few of them even competing. If there were 1,000 women who have gone through male puberty and 1,000 women who didn’t in the same track meet, you and I both know who we’d be betting on.

That's the thing about betting: it's always when you think you have a sure bet that you end up screwing yourself over. Women who have gone through male puberty usually do need to go on hormone for several years before they are ever allowed to compete against other women. Do some research on it

The differences are miniscule. It's like having been born with longer arms or taller. You're taking away human rights where there's no harm done. Where are all the trans gold medalists? You're for harrassing kids for a made up problem - so must be a HUGE issue. Trans gold medalists everywhere.
