Polish border forces regularly force migrants back into Belarus, with reports of people being beaten, stripped of their clothes and left stranded in forests without food, shelter or medical care, according to a new report from Oxfam and Polish NGO Egala published today.

Reading through the article, theres no mention of what Belarus does. Seems like its very good to migrants. Why not stay there, rather than go to a country where, allegedly, you are mistreated? Politicos view on this: belarus good, Poland bad.

Did read again, and they do mention belarussians treat them badly. Then question - what is Poland exactly at fault here? Belarussia is responsible for everything. Given the existing security situation, how can you know if those "miggrants" arent sent to attack. They have already killed a soldier.

I agree there is a bias in how this article is structured. The headline should have been about Belarus instead and the situation. People that stop reading halfway will definetly have a wrong impression about the situation there.

This ⬆️ Belarus is weaponizing migration, they took the people in, let them deal with it. How is it Poland’s fault?

Belarus and Russia are responsible for these people. They should demonstrate how they care about 3rd world people instead of throwing them over the fence to Poland.

This is a hybrid attack from Russia. They use migrants as a weapon. We must not fall in this propaganda. The problem is in Belarus not in Poland. Let’s fight for freedom for democracy and 🖕 Russia.

It's in the article; "Belarus ...state-controlled travel agencies offer them [migrants] visas and transport. Once at the border, Belarusian security forces escort the migrants toward Polish territory while blocking their retreat."

Well there we go, the headline gives impression Poland are in the wrong and the NGOs seem to be pointing finger of blame at Poland. It is a tool of war being used by Belarus/Russia to sow discord in the EU. I don't think Poland has much choice about what to do.

Yeah, this information is there about 6 paragraphs down, after subtly implying the EU should stop funding PL border control. This article is clearly in line with russian propaganda.

Not justifying violence of any sort, but this article and others like it squarely try to blame Poland and the greater EU, while brushing off russian and Belarusian gov roles. Here, at least, there’s this tidbit further down, but the headline is clearly clickbait.

For those pushed back to Belarus, the situation is even more dire. The report describes conditions as “hell,” citing cases of electrocution, waterboarding and body parts being cut off by Belarusian forces. Women and girls face extreme risk of sexual violence, with reports of rape before being forced toward Poland.

It is polands right to uphold their borders when a country like Belarus is pushing people from foreign countries into Poland, they are not obliged to let them in, and they are not coming from a country that's oppressing them. It's a Belarus act of warfare
