Good, it’s about time for Denmark to show its teeth.
Good, it’s about time for Denmark to show its teeth.
Canadian lawmakers are requesting that Donald Trump be banned from attending the G7 summit in Alberta in June. Like Greenland, we want Americans to get the hell off our lawn!
The entire decent, democratic world should be doing the same. Stand up to the ignorant bullies.
Shave her head and send her home in chains. She's a terrorist and gang member... I think.
Put them in jail for breaking immigration laws.
Bad news! Under Article IX of the 1951 treaty between USA and Denmark the two US officials on this trip (Waltz, Wright) have every right to expect unimpeded access to "defense areas or other localities of Greenland" en.wikisource.org/wiki/Agreeme...
By the way, I’ve heard Greenland people have their own movement. 😁😁😁
Can they do that in the U.S., proud boy?
Refuse to let them land.

We Americans are just as appalled and would not blame Danes to deny entry. Temporarily out of order here
Not sure how it's going to work out for them given their small number, but as I understand it the people of Greenland want to be free of Denmark too, no? Isn't this just colonial powers bickering over a land & a people that want to be free of them both?
No. visitgreenland.com/articles/gre...
People of Greenland is the most free and liberated indigenous people on the face of the Earth. Recognized language, recognized home rule and the right to, at any moment! Declare it's independence from Denmark.
That's great, but the people of Greenland elected a party that favors independence from Denmark (like 5 of the 6 parties). Plus, opinion polls show a majority in favor of full independence. The diff between these parties is around how quickly they want to achieve full independence.
Yes, that’s what the article tells you. Greenland is now still depending on Danish funding. They are slowly but surely working towards financial independence as well.
Yes and when they choice independence it will be granted. It's in the Danish law. At the very moment Greenland says we are now independent, They will be.
Interesting. Greenlanders are in a tricky situation. Full independence challenging given such a small pop. (won't dwell on effects of Danish-led birth control experiments on Greenland's pop), limited infrastructure and non-existent military capabilities. Kinda stuck w/ the Danes, for now, I guess.
Well, that is entirely up to them. They can go for independence and ask the USA or any other country for some sort of relationships if they want to. Or just independence.
I can see now how practicality dictates Greenland's maintenance of links w/ Denmark. And not to be (too) frivilous, but if Greenland went *fully* independent then Iceland could probably make a reasonable effort to take it by force, never mind the USA. Tough situation. Thx for chat! 👍
😏
Don't let her into the country! We'll hear about it for a long time! These abusive tearful communications are tiring. Act!
Put the visitors in a car and just keep circling abound the island .
Denmark has the final say in security matters and can deny entry to both Denmark and Greenland if a person is deemed a security threat. Based on an assessment, Denmark could potentially stop Mike Waltz, Usha Vance, and Chris Wright from traveling to Greenland on Thursday.
Oh how WRONG you are! Under Article IX of the 1951 treaty between USA and Denmark the two US officials on this trip (Waltz, Wright) have every right to expect unimpeded access to "defense areas or other localities of Greenland" en.wikisource.org/wiki/Agreeme...
Denmark controls security and entry to both Denmark and Greenland. While the 1951 treaty grants the U.S. military access, Denmark could still bar Mike Waltz, Usha Vance, and Chris Wright from traveling to Greenland on Thursday if they are deemed security threats.
That is a negative; I refer you once again to the treaty - hey, I provided you the link! - which contains no such provision
Well - Waltz has shown, that he can not be trusted with a smartphone.
Finally some clear, sharp rhetoric from our government. Long overdue.
I'm sure the Americans are shivering due to fear 😂
Simply turn them away and say "You are not welcome here!" #Greenland #Denmark
TRUMP THREATENS GREENLAND AGAIN!🙄🤪 ARE THERE ANY ADULTS PRESENT IN WASHINGTON!?
Ban Mrs Vance, declare her p.n.g.
She was not inwaited!
Don’t let them land.

Okay. But we're in extra-judicial, outside the law, territory nowadays. We're allowed to throw caution to the wind now.
Ignore vance.

I hate the way these American male politicians drag their wives around.
Don’t allow their plane to land. If it does, don’t allow them off the plane. Send them back

“You cannot make a private visit with official representatives from another country.”
Under Article IX of the 1951 treaty between USA and Denmark the two high US officials on this trip (Waltz, Wright) have every right to expect unimpeded access to "defense areas or other localities of Greenland"; their visit is not private en.wikisource.org/wiki/Agreeme...
It is still wrong for the Trump administration to mix private and official business - but not surprising.
One more step towards Europe’s independence from Orange Führer and his gang.
Memo from planet Earth (or maybe they don't know this in Poland?): Europe has always been independent from any US authority
In Poland... I don't know maybe they know (read acc desc). It is high time to stop this dependence especially because you have bunch of dangerous monkeys in White House - definitely not a government.
As she should.
If anyone on Bluesky is accidentally added to the “Greenland PC small group” on Signal 👉 then please share this message: US is not welcome in Greenland!👊🇬🇱🔥
Perhaps Mrs Vance could be held up in passport control, locked up for a few days and then sent back as an undesirable.
Or as a terrorist
