Agreed ! The EU is as much a part of this as the US. Personally, I don’t trust Trump to negotiate any agreement between Ukraine and Russia that would be fair to Ukraine. Ukraine is fighting for their sovereignty; Putin (like Trump) wants to dominate

Moldova is easier target then Baltics, Moldova don’t have any protection, part of their country is practically under Russia and junk of population rather go with Russia then with west. Russia don’t need to send single troop to actually take over the country, just meddling with elections.

Russian election interference is a threat, but recent events showed the Moldovan population, whose language has nothing to do with Russian, is quite aware of the risk. Moscovia can't invade Moldova on land. The only way to invade would imply air forces they don't even have anymore.

Also this, yes. But I think Putin thinks he doesn't need military actions there and uses political moves (and is failing at it, lately). I think he'd aim Baltics because if Ukraine falls, it's a sign the West's lack of will and weakness. Plus uncertainty the US would intervene there despite NATO 😒

Don’t count on US, it’s on Europe and Canada if anything happens. Yet I still don’t think direct attack on Baltics will happen. Russia can intensify moves around so our focus is exactly there and Russia can strike elsewhere.

That's my point about the US and NATO's weakpoint. Moldova would require a land access, so Ukraine. If Ukraine is down, why would you spend ressources on an inoffensive target if you have a signal NATO failed to secure its borders ? A fatal blow to NATO and minor/corrupted targets will bend a knee.

Russia doesn’t need to invade, just get the right politicians into power. There are enough troops in Baltics from all over Europe, if it won’t deter Russia, then NATO troops taking photos on Red Square week after Russia start war will make end to the joke called Russia.

That's not Trump's idea. Any Ukrainian cease fire has to be primarily in his own best interest. Trump always understand, such talks are between Putin and him, no others.
