No! Wildfires are not preventable. The scale of them has become unstoppable. Human birth, the main source of global wildfires is preventable.

This ignores monoculture, esp. eucalyptus plantation as a big driver of forest fires in PT and part sof ES. "Cleaning up forests" involves further devastation of natural ecosystems, whereas diverse ecosystems are far more resilient than overlogged forests and plantations.

Institutional corruption, decentralised power which leads to inaction. Spain is cracking up with corruption and an overextended administration, local, regional and central. Time to reform. Guidelines for lobbies, when? Good luck to the real heroes doing what they can in spite of the leaders.
