The EU should reassess its trade deal with the US if President Donald Trump follows through on his threats to punish the bloc over its tech regulations, Brussels’ competition chief has warned in an interview with the Financial Times.

He criticizes EU:s eventual tariffs to protect our market, while he himself imposes massive tariffs on the EU. The US has become such an embarrassment.
If the dictator (whom we shouldn't be doing business with in the first place) breaks his end of the EU trade agreement, he can kiss his "biggest deal ever" goodbye. Impose tariffs and sanctions. American companies do not get to choose which laws they want to follow in the EU. Comply or get out.
EU, do not kiss the ring. Time to tell this potus in his own jargon where he can put his threats. Niceties won't get you anywhere. Enough is enough.
1/2 The EU accepted a 15% tax on US consumers buying EU produced goods because 1. Most EU products are exempt because they are already produced in the USA and others are exempt because they are critical and for some it's lower than the 20% already being paid. 2. Most EU products don't go to the US.
2/3 3.We need to keep Donny in our tent while we remain at war with Russia. 4. The mid terms are less than a year away so it might all change if congress is flipped blue.
3/3 The EU constitution does not allow anyone to ignore data protection and anti trust laws so they will not change. Comply or FO out of the EU, we will find alternatives.
Rethink. Revise. Revisit.
China took the trade fight back to the US and Trump capitulated. EU should do the same.
Got any rare earths for magnets? The EU complex global taxation scheme with many overreaching penalties is being met with an equivalence of blocking tariffs. The great China retail bypass has hit a de minimus paywall. Just waiting for India to switch natural gas contracts to end the war in Ukraine.
France is in economic free fall. Spain is as aloof as ever. German coffers and the embattled UK will follow the American leadership. Ursula and company have realized their members are defenseless, their bloc leverage is impotent and talking to the Viagra producing Pfizer made it all the worse.
