In Canada we have Elections Canada and in my Province it’s Elections Ontario. Both are non-partisan agencies who are responsible for organizing elections. They hire election day staff from all walks of life and political stripes. They answer to parliament not the government.

I early voted today in the Australian election. 10 mins from parking at the venue to returning to my car. With our independent electoral commission, I had confidence my vote would be honoured. That's freedom.
