I also have mixed feelings about the literary genre I would describe as "reading list bait"

I am a reader and I will try almost anything, but I tend to avoid those books. If there's a "questions for discussion" section at the end, or the book has a "(Celebrity) Book Club/Pick" sticker I will be skeptical. However I want people to read, please read what you like, even if it's cotton candy
