Lake Tahoe Godfather/mafia boat tour was awesome. Usually you hear variations of the same thing over and over but this did some serious deep diving into diff locations & subjects and how history and the movies intersected. Plus, awesome cannolis. Plus plus, layers work, emergency sunscreen deployed.

Sounds like a lot of fun. Did you tour the entire lake?

Went from keys marina to various spots the film was shot past Tahoe City, Emerald Bay on return (relevant and I learned new things.) So southwest mostly, but it was quite a long tour. Discussed NV (CalNeva etc.) Deep dive into the topics, not just a gimmick. Guy running it was an *aficionado.*

Names, incidents, laminated copies of pages he'd found from scripts. Discussions about Italian opposition to the film being made. The inception of career of actors that spread from it. I found it amazing, but I love both the history and geography stuff around here and they nailed them both I feel.

And their geology guy was *seriously* an expert. Main tour guide was amazing, connecting the history of SF, gold rush, Sicily, scurvy, mafias, Reno,Tahoe, Vegas. Oh, and the movie (I have not seen it.) Marina is about to shut down for the season but if you're around South Lake Tahoe next year 👍👍👍
