No. I'm saying that in both 2008 & 2020, GOPers set aside their partisanship, however briefly, because they badly needed competent help. I think Dems need to think ahead of time what they do when/if a big catrastrophe hits, especially if, for example, it's an area where GOPers are opposed now.

GOP in 08 and 20 weren’t setting aside partisanship; they were passing things with the help of Democrats - even if they weren’t necessarily inclined to like such policies - to massively help their political candidates win elections; you obviously know this

Do you legitimately think Rs in Congress passed those laws in 08 and 20 because they wanted to be bipartisan? They wanted to avoid losing 30 senate seats lol

What thinking ahead do you have in mind; early 2020 with Covid was the test of whether Dems in Congress will shoot themselves in the foot to be so nice and bipartisan with Trump and fasc; this exact same thing will obviously happen once again; unless there is new leadership -across the board
