Good for you! I had a fierce Grandma and Mom and they never taught me that male superior line of crap either. I'm also sick of the biblical "blame it on Eve" bullshit. Adam just had to say no.

That's wonderful! And the damage done to women by the biblical characterizations of Eve, and her predecessor Lilith, well, we could talk about that all day & all night! Adam was weak. He had agency!BTW, we will likely get all sorts of admonishing & religious mansplaining from some folks. Bring it!

Not here you won’t get that…this is Bluesky not Xitter. I’m recovering from AofG hellfire and brimstone preached @ me from age 0 to 10. Never about gods love. Unsurprisingly I have no faith in humanity — now less than ever as the cruelty is the point to anyone that is different from white boomers.

I'm sorry you were only taught fire and brimstone. That's an ugly way to spread God's message. Jesus came and spread Love and Kindness. There's still plenty of that in the world despite the Redhat Natzi cruelty we're seeing now. Never give up on Love or Kindness. It can spread quickly too. 💙

Once in Biblical Times women were powerful. Jewish women owned their own tents, herds, had a voice in governing their tribes, and somewhere men got worried and took away their rights and began to subjugate them. I hate the way preachers take passages from scripture and turn it against women.
