They are outside the law and its not going to be changed for them. Real threat is our miniMAGA-wannabe politicians weakening our laws like Minns.

That makes me suspect that there is dark money from the USA supporting them. The gun lobby is that dirty.

Most illegal guns in Australia are coming in via American bikie gangs.

Until very recently, I wasn't aware "sovereign citizens" were a thing in Australia. On a trip to Canada, I found out sov-cits were also over there. Australia, however, caught me unawares.

Stuff like this spreads, unfortunately. There is case here, another shooting, where an American has been charged over his involvement in the crime. Will see if I can find a reference.

Here is one article re the case. This one is considered more christian fundamentalist terrorism than sovcit apparently, but I think the lines are blurred.

Terrorism accommodates strange bedfellows. Thanks for finding/sending this link to me. I'll read it, for sure.

In another unrelated story, I was appalled by how much of US media Australia consumes. I find that incomprehensible. Same applies to Canada.

A lot of US stories are covered by our media. We are not necessarily reading your media. The impacts on other countries as a result of US implosion is important.

Watching, reading, digesting American media can/will lead to disastrous consequences. Our societal misfortunes, in the US, are often cultural, economic, and almost always, reactionary. Some of those stories make little sense to us. To the world, they're incoherent.

Gun laws aren't strong enough in 🇦🇺 There are more guns in circulation now than prior to the Port Arthur massacre. Beyond that, anyone who declares themselves a sovereign citizen needs to be in a watchlist.
