I do wonder if in some way they're still dancing the political dance of niceties and protocol, forgetting that a) he can't dance, b) he doesn't want to engage in the dance, c) he's a TACO Wanker......

All of the above? Cannot quite see how they are representing European citizens' interests by continuing to do lick his boots given everything that we have seen so far. When he visits the UK later on this year, NOONE turns up as his ridiculous motorcade goes past. He deserves 0 respect.

You're correct, but besides maybe stupidly trying to observe the niceties and protocols he has no intention of engaging with, they also want to posture to keep their political parties and voters on board, pretending to do their will.....

Well, I for one am not one of those. I find it infuriating. As a teacher and parent, how are we meant to teach young minds given the spectacle before us of supposedly "intelligent" and "well read" leaders?! Beggars belief!
