There is a lovely pit bull in my neighborhood that does this. She walks ahead of her owner, who doesn't walk as fast as she'd like. Once she got to know me, she'd offer me her leash for a chance to walk her.

Yes he came from the Irish Retired Greyhound Trust.. He's a real scared shy boy but he's good with cats so that's how we ended up with him. Also have a year old female non racer who is helping bring him out of his shell. She is his polar opposite. 🤗🤗🤗

Thank you! I think they are what keeps me sane in this mad world and if you're ever considering adopting a Greyhound I can 100% recommend. They are different though 🫣 and have different needs and certain things you have to accept (like not letting off leash in public spaces!!) But so so worth it 🤗

hopefully we will rescue one one day. We have a cat who insists on being an only, she's 17. We had a Weimaraner who could also not be off leash. Greyhounds have always held my heart and I'd love to give one a loving home.

Hey Canadian bike guy... My brother is a Canadian bike guy and I'm an Irish sighthound lover so together we're like you. But we're both actually Scottish if that makes any sense 🫣

We adopted 2 retired greyhound that were racing in Florida. This is our first one, my beautiful Zoe, i missed her.

She's like our first one Lady who we lost in January... She def changed our whole family's life for the better. Miss her too 🥹

The person who was in charge of the retired racer organization told me once greyhound are not dog, they are little humain, i missed their gentle presence.

Nor do greyhounds like to pick up their paws to help free the tangled leash. I either have to lift his leg myself or bend down to unwrap the offender.

Absolutely! I call it Greyhound Paralysis Syndrome... And the face just says "help me please!"

Similar colouring to my young girl! He's gorgeous and looks young and fit! I lost my last one in January a beautiful brindle girl and her lab x Collie sister a week before her. Still miss them but these guys have taken over our house and garden (they bury toys!!) 🫣

Oh sure. When he walks himself he trots along at what is a good exercise pace. When you walk him, he stops every 3ft for a good minute to bark at a weed, sniff at ghosts of squirrels, and spectrally analyze if the fire hydrant is worthy of a wee. 😆

Our Ninja Blender is a double agent that’s, thus far, going unnoticed. Its placement in the kitchen may be literally throwing him off the scent.
