Cookie!
Bacon!
I β₯οΈBacon π
Me too! I also love bacon crumbles!
Surprisingly Bacon was quickly voted down. Possibly a sacrilegious thing.
Cinnamon
Cookie? (& Crumbles) πͺπ
ha great minds think alike. i think it's perfect!
Darlin'
Ruby, those eyes. π
hmmm... Ruby...
..was rejected because we know several humans with that name
I bow to your wisdom in this. βΊοΈ
I thought of another possible name: Rose. π€
Rose is another phonetically beautiful name. Entered but not yet discussed!
Farrah, after native Texan Farrah Fawcett. (I always give my pets people names)
Ginger. Definitely a Ginger.
Funnily enough, Ginger was a short-term favorite from another source but I might have kinda vetoed it. Definitely a good name, don't get me wrong. But if just didn't feel right. However, given your "definitely" assertion I am prepared to reconsider. Ginger is in the proverbial back pocket.
Don't have a name suggestion, thank you for rescuing her. I am sure she will be a wonderful new member of your family and sister to Crumbles. π
Thank you Tracey!
She looks like Coffee Cake to me.
All the time. My dog's name is Peach Pie.
Peach crumble is good!
Peach could work. But the important judges have turned in for the night.
π That is funny! Never shop or name a dog while hungry!
Are you feeling peckish? π
Are the lines still open? Biscuit! An English cookie.
Phoenix
Lovey
Princess Brindle (Brindy) . . . her markings are spectacular! What a love!
i would call her Spice.
Sage
She looks like a Nellie to me!
I miss the name βTrudy.β I donβt know a single living Trudy any more (I had an Aunt Trudy, but she died in the mid-1960s).
Trudy is a solid choice. We have a Judy in our close lives that may cause objection but rhythmically I think Trudy works with Crumbles.
Since she's saved from Texas how about Ann after Ann Richards since she was one of the best people to come out of my godforsaken home state. ππ And congratulations!!
Thank you! She is delightful and a perfect addition to our family. I'll add your name suggestion into the family mix and see what pops out!
Peaches π those pretty eyes
HAZEL It grew, it stuck and she responds to it. So Hazel it is. Thank you all once again! β₯οΈ ps. She is settling into the family and getting on with Crumbles, very well indeed.
Hope your family enjoys many years of happiness with Hazel. Congratulations! πΎππ π
Thank you, Susan! β₯οΈ
Thank you, thank you for all the suggestions. I entered each of them into the discussion with varying levels of traction. From another source "Hazel" has gained some acceptance and is probably the current favorite. But the race is far from over!
Also, in these awfully sketchy times, I want to let you ALL know how wonderful it feels to have an online family, who I can turn to for support, even if it's for something as trivial as a dog's name. I genuinely love that you are there and we have this "thing" together.
Since you already have Crumbles, I'd call her Violet, named for the iconic Australian honeycomb and chocolate bar.
Violet is in the mix! Thank you.
Also she is the right colour. Any Australian who meets your dog's will get a π
Hazel is pretty solid. Iβll throw Coco in the mix just because. Congrats on your growing family and Iβm sure she will love her new forever home.
Cookie.
*Maggie*. An older name because she looks like she knows the score and will be a friend and companion for life.β₯οΈ
Cinnamon Girl? π
Cinnamon is phonetically quite lovely
π
cookie! π
Lola
If she's 5 years old, you might just want to stick to the name she understands.
Jellybean
There you go.
Yeah but no. π She only had that name for a short time at a foster family so I think we're good for one final identity change.
Good for you for rescuing her.
