I think the average Democrat voter is willing to throw any Dem politician who raped a girl under the bus. Unfortunately, this is not at all true for our ruling class, especially the older establishment.

Exactly — all it would take is one high-profile Democrat to have the courage to speak up, but none of them want to break the “party solidarity” even though going along with the DNC in its current state is actually the most risky move available.
