It wouldn’t shock me if there was concern trolling motivations by some folks sadly. However if people who are horrified by what the Russian military did to Ukrainian civilians while occupying that country see that screenshot for the first time today want an explanation should Juniper block them?

i think the people who are spreading the screenshot are acting maliciously or otherwise ignoring the surrounding context of the tweet and repeatedly asking for someone to apologize for something they've already apologized for when they make their feelings clear is just a way to harass them

Maybe in some cases but other cases it’s people whom Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is a high salience issue for them and are thus horrified and either didn’t see the apology or didn’t find it sufficient. Tbh I do find the apology wanting and incomplete.

If Juniper had a ready and waiting apology she could just reply with that everytime someone posted the screenshot and we could see who is open and accepts that and who is intolerant.

In a weird way it parallels “cancellation” narratives in current broader discourse because often what “anti cancel culture” types don’t get is that “cancellation” is a very organic thing. Like often the performer demands the transgression be forgotten but at the end of the day audiences can’t forget

which is why audiences collectively remember all at the same time
