I completely agree with that; however, I would be cautious about whether that is a general view in Europe.

While we're on the subject, here's another point: our politicians aren't the only ones responsible for reducing our dependence on the US. Companies and consumers also have a role to play here. There are good alternatives to almost all US products and services. www.goeuropean.org
