And again... Your worries is obviously about something using narrative elements of historical figures as inspiration broadly speaking for a sci-fi/fantasy franchise because that MIGHT give collateral shine to said historical inspiration. Which... Andor is far from doing.

My comment was the risk of romanticisation of stalin. Why connect the two different issues? I do know Hollywood uses many things to shape history i studied mass media and propaganda at Uni. So why do i need a lecture about the founding fathers now? One of the text books from the old Uni Days.

The system of the Empire is not classically "Communist" but it for sure echoes the "Authoritarianism" of the Soviet Stalin era. There's no glorifying of this Authoritarian state of affairs. It makes your issue seem obtuse. There's no shilling for Stalinism, if anything they are skewering it.

"A young man from nowhere with a revolutionary ideology, and a fight against a huge empire. I did think there was something interesting about the secret life of someone in that situation" – Simon Sebag Montefiore that description of Stalin as a plot inspiration could however by some be taken wrong.

The post was about the article and how that could lead some to see Stalin in the wrong light As you need to read thru it and more to see how violent his early career was. Not a mere bank robber. But seems somehow that was a problem for you. For some' random' reason

I'm more than aware of Stalin being a monster. Just as I'm aware the STAR WARS ANDOR show isn't in any way glorifying Stalin nor Stalinism... Which if you had actually engaged with it you would see is not happening and a rather obtuse position to have but that's expected of Knee-Jerk reactions.

the only knee jerk was yours to my post. Its about Stalin's myth and how others have and misuse it Some like the kremlin would like to make Stalin another T shirt Che. He is not. The idealistic 'Young Stalin' is dangerously in that territory for some. he was always thug and a killer

im talking about the reporting of the Director inspiration. Being taken the wrong way. Not blaming Andor or tis maker. "A young man from nowhere with a revolutionary ideology, and a fight against a huge empire." could be for some taken the wrong way.
