The only one I can think of immediately is Pete Buttigieg. He’s smart, makes topics simple enough to understand, and doesn’t seem to get triggered by tough questions (or at least appears calm). But if the US wasn’t ready for a black woman, are they ready for a gay man as prez?

You know I do have hope considering how close it was this election and I also thought Obama wouldn’t win either based on history. This extremism always has a swing which gave us Obama from bush. The disinformation machine has gotten worse since then and ppl have embraced being ignorant

This is why Trump-Pence and Trump-Vance had such power. Most people can get through those. Also Trump has this guttural tone, kind of an UGH caveman sound, that I think truly appeals to a certain sort. The sound one would make when swinging a club at someone.

If he wasn’t gay, I think many Americans would accept him. But, at least he’s open about it, unlike many other politicians (allegedly). I don’t care to know who a pol’s bedroom is like, and I don’t care for them to know mine.
