Season 3 of Glee is when most ppl agree that show began to jump the tracks I think Riverdale went batshit around that time too

Eh...not really? Season one was pretty much "'Twin Peaks' but with Archie characters" and season 2 was a bit more wacky but somewhat grounded in reality S3 is when we got our Gargoyle Kings and Space rockets and epic highs of high school football

actually both great examples. Glee is a funny one - there's an obvious moment in S1 where they went from 'mid-season replacement' to 'full series order' - then it balances for a while, and s3 throws some curveballs Riverdale is an experiment in mind-altering drugs on screen
