That would be more convincing if Mexico didn't currently have a woman President - and there wasn't a long list of of South and Central american female leaders.

In countries like Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago both Presidents and Prime Ministers (First and second leaders) are women. And in case of Mexico, although informal, the second chief in command after the President is also a woman - Rosa Icela Rodriguez
