i think it's more of you have multiple instances to already choose from vs having to set your own pds up if you want to not be on bsky hardware (which isn't even true but it may seem that way from someone who doesnt know a lot about atproto)

Is it possible to transfer an existing account to Spark PDS? If yes, the removing of invite codes will probably be the time I'll host my account on my own PDS knowing that there is a way back to a public PDS. (PS. I already have another account on Spark PDS.)
