Seriously, I want to see a one-plank platform from the Dems in 2028: criminal prosecution of this whole administration.

Just imagine a debate with such a candidate: “How are you going to handle the border?” “Fuck all that, I’m going to take every corrupt dollar back and put every fascist in prison. If you participated in this admin’s misdeeds, run and hide.”

Yeah. And I’m not just talking leadership. I’m talking about every gaiter-wearing street level agent, too. Every lawyer who mislead a court or advocated ignoring an order. Everyone.

Kamala ran on saving our democracy, but people mostly voted based on the economy and the Dems did a horrible job proving that the Biden economy was great. Kitchen table issues are what get votes.

That’s what pundits say, but I think it’s BS. Kamala didn’t get a full campaign and muzzling Walz was a huge mistake. Democracy IS a kitchen table issue.

Voters simply did not pick democracy as their top reason for voting one way or another. Economy and immigration were the top two issues with the majority of voters. Those issues were neither of the top two issues that Dems ran on, so they are out of touch with their voters. Democracy was fourth.

Harris launched with excitement, but then pivoted from the momentum of "Brat Summer" to a solid traditional campaign perfectly befitting moderates like me... and lost. To WIN in 2026 (then 2028), Dem candidates need to cast aside stodgy establishment concerns and go scorched earth.

Yes, ceaselessly call out this corrupt admin for shamelessly subverting our democracy and for covering up Epstein, but also blast out exactly how they are driving up our prices (grocery, healthcare, utilities) while plummeting our employment (job growth was NEGATIVE in July!).

In the end, we will find that some Democrats, SCOTUS, and people across government agencies were customers of and/or were blackmailed by Epstein and Maxwell. While pedophiles not nearly as rampant on the left as the GOP, there are guilty parties on both sides. Release the #EpsteinFiles

I don't disagree, but the establishment owns most of the Democrats. They water down their message for their masters and fail to inspire all their potential voters to support them. Kamala sucking up to Liz Cheney didn't help their cause either.

See, I liked that (since I respected Cheney's stance on Jan 6), but, instead of appealing to boring moderates like me, she should've been doubling down both on energizing young to middle-aged voters -and- taking on by talking on right-leaning podcasts and media.

Yes, capitulating to moderate voters, like you, she lost many more progressives than she gained. Biden voters should have been "in the bag", especially since she was running entirely on the Biden administration's successes. But many of those voters chose not to cast a vote because of Cheney.

Like you, I respected Cheney's standing up for American democracy on the January 6 Insurrection. But, I told my wife that Kamala just lost the election the day she brought Cheney on board. I voted for Kamala to save America, but unfortunately I was right about Cheney. Nobody wanted Cheney policies.

She sat on the Democrats' biggest stage and said she could not think of 1 thing that she would change about the Biden administration. She would't have won a primary based on no ideas and more time would not have helped her win. Although, not having her primary at all may have been the death knell.

When in office Dems fix, or at least make some progress toward fixing, what Repubs broke. But the Dems can never make it so the Bad Things didn't happen. Pundits make bank off hammering DEMS BAD, white voters bring the Rs back in to do more fascism, rinse & repeat. I don't have an answer for this.

The answer is for liberal Dens to let working class people lead, instead of attacking them. Millions rallied around Bernie's platform, Zohran turned out 50,000 volunteers - not dollars, volunteers! - and the liberal establishment does whatever it can to shoot them down on behalf of wealthy donors.
