A good example of the inequality in the world. There is something to be said for a strong middle class that can be a solid foundation for society.

When you give money to the bottom 50%, it *immediately* gets spent on deferred purchases, stimulating the local economy. When you give it to the top 1%, it gets socked away in "investments" that do nothing for the local economy.
