While we are reminiscing... I still have the phone on the left [not hooked up] but really miss the kitchen phone pictured on the right- with that long twisty cord. Sigh. Don't we all miss her?

Hilarious. I just told a friend I absotely love my iPhone BUT I also miss the days when the phone was on the wall - no answering machine. You could go to a party - go shopping etc in complete peace. So you can imagine I love the "do not disturb" function on my cell!!!!

Also the way the receiver kind of fit your ear comfortably, and you could have both comfort and privacy at the same time, and not have to listen to everyone's speakerphone conversations.
