I will say, if my readers didn't notice my switching to having my writing and plotting done by machine, I would not feel good about my craft.

WE WOULD NOTICE. There is a reason you are the top of every list of romance authors, mentioned in every post on all social media platforms seeking author recommendations, and that I am too impatient to wait for your books at the library and purchase them myself. No AI slop could ever inspire that.

I'm not published but like everyone else I have a novel that's 3/4 done in a desk drawer. Well, on Google drive...anyway, for shits and giggles I ran it through Gemini pro and asked it to edit for excessive exposition and pace. And what I got back was utterly soulless with nothing of me left in it.
