It is funny they literally have a special Elven word for being “the first race” and they’re not even the 5th group to exist in the world. 😭 (they’re the only ones who say race in lore, as all other groups say ethnicity or just the name of the community or group one comes from)

Also to make it messed up, Eo (Aevthyael and Imogen’s dad) has to explain to little Aevthyael why people are hunting her down at age 9.

Of course Eo has no clue how to explain “yeah you see half of this country wants you dead for being built differently, and the other half adores you despite not knowing you, and also you can’t be near the ones who like you thanks to the ones who loathe you” to a child.
