I don't think this is a bad thing as long as the USA boycott remains strong. Why tax your own working class to punish Trump? Trust me we( America's working class) are being hammered by increasing prices. Buy what you absolutely need and boycott anything you do not. Perfect retaliation.

Retaliatory tariffs are paid by Canadians…not having them is good for Canadian consumers. U.S. tariffs hurt the Canadian economy because they hurt Canadian businesses. Having retaliatory tariffs just makes things worse for Canadians… Carney knows what he’s doing.
