1) Each sovereign nation is entitled to their own constitutional design 2) American support for Ukraine MAY have some implied moral justification, but at heart, we should support that country, because it is in our own best long-term interests

Exactly right. And understanding that Nation's legal system is different than ours is paramount.

Interesting observations: - Only Brazil and America were the Slave Societies that when becoming independent, did NOT fore swear slavery - Many countries have had as expansive designs on their neighbors as USA, but rarely with such implications of “Divine Guidance”
