Sometimes the best games are the ones I go into feeling unprepared. Look to make things happen in the moment. Hanging out in the bar can be fun for an episode and spin the larger story in unusual ways.

I hope that will happen tonight. I usually hate that feeling, because staying in the moment is a challenge for me atm. But I'll try to trust on the instincts and input of the players to help me through this and keep me there mentally.

This can also be an opportunity to get some feedback from the players "Okay, who do you want to hang out with at this event?" DM are in the driver's seat but it's okay to ask someone else to check the maps.
