I mean, it will, in the sense that their voters will die or flee at higher rates, so they'll lose seats as the political center of gravity shifts to cities and as population drops. It's just people shouldn't have to die for that to happen.

The consequences of a hospital or nursing home closure are immediate and godawful. The map consequences may take a while, but the angry mobs will show up fast.

Sincerely I would not wish a hospital closing on fucking anyone. It's probably the worst thing you can do to a town that doesn't involve military action. It is insane that it's even on the table.
