That’s why we have to be far more aware of when all this started. People point to Obama, and that sure was a high recruitment moment. But so was 911 and so was Donald trump. The actual real beginning was desegregation ruling. And the actual actual real moment was slavery.
People in the Us don’t just see a meme and decide to be segregationists. They’re recruited by their family that wants them at ‘good’ schools (white schools) and in ‘good’ neighborhoods.
Do folks thing the white folks talking about how it sucks to need the military to clean up DC but they love the low crime rate came up with that idea on their own?
Or has that idea been passed down generation to generation by entire families and communities? The foundation of segregation is ‘keep bad elements out’ and ‘keep our neighborhoods clean and safe’ etc.
Every single non-black kid that lives in your average (all white) suburb and goes to their majority white schools has had a lifetime of groundwork laid down for the ‘keep ur community safe’ memes to make sense.
But the ‘better meme’ crowd cant see that all white conversation that’s been happening an entire lifetime and think the Ds just don’t have the skillz. We need to hire some Gen Z crew. We need to have more hip music. We need the TikTok
Republicans also just attack all the time and repeat, repeat, repeat. Democrats simply do not.
Racism is learned at your parents knees as a kid.
