Harvested two big colanders full of sauce tomatoes today. If all goes according to plan, tomorrow they will be my first batch of canned salsa. 🌱 #kitchengarden #gardening

Roma, San Marzano or something else? I want to grow sauce tomatoes myself next year.

Roma & some kind of sauce tomato that isn't Roma. Seeds must have been mixed up. Most are larger than Roma, but still meaty sauce type. All determinate & ripen over a few weeks, perfect for canning / salsa. San Marzano is indeterminate, better for a few at a time but need to be tied up.
