Learn to love your spice rack too. There are multiple recipes for grilled chicken that are healthy and tasty. Variety makes healthy food choices more bearable.
Second this. Cumin Ancho Garlic powder Gochujang Lime juice All of it goes a long way to flavor chicken Also don’t sleep on tofu, once pressed and seasoned right it makes a great non-meat protein alternative. As my wife says, “six packs start in the kitchen”
Dry whole spices, toasted briefly to wake up the essential oils then ground really has some kick. Dry brining is a good way to flavor poultry through and through. Sometimes, a simple sprinkle of salt and pepper is good enough and sometimes I want my tongue to tingle just a little.
Root around in the door of your frig too. Soy sauce, steak sauce can be used in marinades. Never fail chicken glaze. Combine that last little bit of jam or jelly with the same amount of mustard. Brush on at the end of cooking. 57 sauce mixed with honey is really good too.
I mean I didn’t want to get DTJB all spun up, but yeah making a few sauces is killer. Grab some garlic chili at the H Mart Tzatziki My personal favorite is Bitchin’ Bombay sauce. Not sure how healthy but delicious when I need a treat flavor.
