In fairness, that will catch new editions and translations. It helped me out a few times with long-dead authors who have a large body of works published.

Dread to think how many I've missed by not signing up for this.
Well, you never know though his productivity seems to have tailed off recently..
You clever, clever people
I mean they might find papyri in the desert...
It's going to drop any day now. But you have to hand it to Cicero, still publishing after all this time.
which will come first, the next Cicero or the next GRRM?
I believe Cicero is clear on that one: "More is lost by indecision than wrong decision. Indecision is the thief of opportunity. It will steal you blind." Works for writer's block as well, so I think Cicero will publish before Martin.
Cicero because a new translation or manuscript copy seems a lot more likely than solving writer’s block.
I’m pretty confident on this one.
I wonder if they have the new Shakespeare?
Quo usque tandem abutere, Marce, patientia nostra? (Riff on the opening line of his In Catalinam speech- “How much further, Cataline, will you abuse our patience?” Cataline was caught planning revolution.)
Dude's like the Tupac of great orators. Still dropping new books to this day.
I mean, if there was one, you really wouldn't want to miss it.
They're even better in Latin.
@paparomeowhiskey.bsky.social
Times must indeed be bad if Cicero has a book in the works
I too wouldn't want to miss the next new Cicero. Seriously, if somehow you got Cicero to 21st c. America and set him up with English lessons & social media, he'd write you some bangers. Modern U.S. politics is a target-rich environment for Cicero. Also, Cicero certainly would've prosecuted Trump.
I mean maybe they’ll unearth something in Herculaneum
You laugh, but www.womansworld.com/entertainmen...
Pliny: The Lost Tapes
Somehow I feel that if Cicero was to publish a new book I'd get to know about it without signing up to an email list.
camping out in front of the bookstore
@lindsaypowell.bsky.social
Hey, if he came out with a new book I would definitely want to know
I go no further. Unless the advance is good.
I turn my back for 5 minutes…
I've heard that every historian lives in dread that the missing volumes of T. Livy will, someday, be found.
Tupac, Elvis, Hitler, Cicero. They're still out there.
@gaius.bsky.social
Cicero with ChatGPT annotations.
Damn that is one hell of a literary run
2000 years later, still waiting for a verb at the end of a sentence
Sic!
Ooh, when's his next one out?
Die Neuerscheinungen kommen bald.
Look I was all for his stuff until I found out he used substack and X. That was the Rubicon for me.
This a Herculaneum marketing tie in
