Glad to explain the efficacy of supporting these types of candidates & this group in particular to you, if you are confused about it.

Ok, but I'm not confused about Gerrymandering and its power. In fact, I very much support its use by the Democratic Party-run State Legislatures until we have an actual, national commitment to fairness, but only for progress vs traditional conservatism, whatever that used to be.

This is not a gerrymandering issue. This is about competition, and maximizing our potential victories in as many winnable HDs across the state as possible by forcing the opposition to defend their “safe” HDs. Also, this involves motivating available (D) votes from (R) HDs, for statewide candidates.

Of course fascism is a Gerrymandering issue. It's also an Electoral College issue. And a voter suppression issue. Otherwise there's no evidence that minds can be changed even by logic, let alone money. Democrats would receive far more popular momentum winning competitive districts and states.

“It's also an Electoral College issue” This is a 2025 state election in Virginia; electing Governor, Lt. Governor, Attorney General, and 100 state house districts. The Electoral College is involved in Presidential years. It is not involved in this “Virginia state” election.

I only see minds being changed by an economic collapse, and more importantly, a stock market collapse. Otherwise, Trump's popularity will remain in the low 40s which is enough to complete the takeover throughout the country. Virginia is a smarter state than the states Trump needs.

You drifted off topic. Your original point was addressing “donations to non-competitive state house districts”. Hopefully, your confusion about state vs. national election cycles has been addressed.
