Yep. Whilst I’ve no huge opinion on Illing Jr, this seems to be a problem area and blind spot for us.

Exactly I’m more on that thought process … I mean he is a U21 England player and by all accounts had good loans….Could have found some time in Europa surely? And has to be a better bench option than what we have put out… But as per your point…never really seen him play myself..so no major opinion

Yup. It needs to start being more about "Sign for us, go on loan to a carefully selected club to get you first team football for a year or two, then come in an integrate with the first team squad" If we're literally just buying them to flip them for a small profit, how about just not signing them
