The answer is "no." Because he's not upset about potentially having to explain where babies come from (for a KISS?), he's upset because explaining will require that he acknowledge that some people aren't straight. And he feels that as an imposition due to his own animus towards such people.

He is also saying that he believes that so long as his grandkids never learn about gay or bi people, they will never, ever turn out to BE gay or bi. Which is bullshit, that's not how it works. But it shows him to be very ignorant and paranoid about the subject.
