His policies are horrendous on homelessness, as are most everyone’s in this state. They exist because the majority of Californians want homelessness to go away, but aren’t willing to lose their own property values or have affordable housing anywhere near them.
Sounds like a uniquely bad cultural problem with California in this particular case.
