There are still elements of the republican party that aren't far right nutjobs. Best to increase their proportion in the party than to eliminate the Republicans entirely

Lol, 2 people without the spines to actually go against the grain are just as bad as the rest. Wipe the whole slate clean. The "reasonable" ones can start a new party and try again; Republicans are the MAGA party now.

We should abolish the Democrat party as well. Hell, what we need to do is either abolish political parties altogether, or instate a parliamentary system so we can have a thriving democracy. A duopoly is not a democracy, it's an illusion.

The Republican Party is the cancer. MAGA came from the Tea Party, the Tea Party came from Bush’s Compassionate Conservatism, which came from the Contract with America, itself arising from the Reagan Revolution. This is a forty year run to the right by the whole Republican Party.
