There is no ‘Thatcher Room’ in Downing Street. Anthony Seldon wrote an in-depth book about Downing Street in 1999 which I have & there’s no mention of it. How could the Tories stake a claim to a room in a multi-party public building? Thatcher’s portrait appears on the famous staircase though.

Downing Street is a public building and not an extension of CCHQ. Much as the Tories might think they own it, you’re quite right, there is no such thing as a “Thatcher Room” in No 10. It’d be inappropriately partisan to claim a room in a multi-party public building.
