In an extremely rare case my daughter had measles, weeks before her MMR was due. Her lactose intolerance caused concerns over how, but never if vaccination should proceed. She was hospitalised and thankfully recovered. I swear the only way she got measles is because of some dumb antivax parents.

Anti-vaxxers seem perfectly OK with allowing innocent children to die from preventable diseases just to satisfy their own need to believe in conspiracy theories. I have no words for this.

If you're from the UK, we weren't vaccinated before 1968. Measles went round my school like wildfire and a child in my class ended up permanently deaf as a result.

I looked at a thread for some random group suggested to me by FB yesterday. Opening question was "who is vaccinated?" 5.8k comments which seemed 90% "not me and proud". I'm convinced it's mostly bots but there are genuine people in there being told repeatedly they're right for this. It's sick!

I had measles as a youngster in pre vaccination days and remember the Doctor making a second visit on the same day because of his concern for me.
