I'm a teacher and have been off for 6 weeks (Scotland) so havent listened to BBC radio 'news' daily on my commute. It's been quite nice not hearing about small boats every single bloody day. It's become a national obsession and the BBC are as much to blame for that as daily mail etc.

Ditto. I used to be a massive BBC supporter but got tired at them being a constant disappointment. These days, I rarely watch or listen to them and really don't much care what happens. They certainly don't represent the "best of being British" because they pander too much to the worst.

I have complained, twice, recently about the BBC's far-right bias. Obviously, they don't bother to hide it any longer, and a reply eventually returned stating that the "impartial" national broadcaster now makes its programmes with Reform voters in mind. I've given up complaining to the BBC: they respond ad nauseam that they are practicing "impartiality", without explaining why said impartiality means holding the left and centre to account whilst letting the FR pedal their toxic BS with impunity.
If you complain now you get an email and must respond within 60 minutes. Thats 60 minutes from when they send it not 60 minutes after you open it so lookout for it.
