For my money, the most dangerous man in UK politics over the last 15 years. Various PMs got the headlines but Gove knows exactly how to work the system to make things happen. A man like that with a head full of dodgy think-tanks ideas is absolutely catastrophic for those of us on the receiving end.

A typical journalist politician who persuades people that he knows what he's talking about so they vote for it. When it's proved to be totally crap he then moves on to the next column - talk about power without any responsibility, and then other people have to sort out his messes.

More than that though. He seems to be one of the most effective operators of the machinery of government (not necessarily a good thing). Johnson was persuasive to many people but hopeless at actually doing anything; Gove is both persuasive and competent ...even while doing disastrous things.

Wasn’t Gove & wife investigated by social services for leaving their 11 year old son supervised in an unfamiliar hotel while they partied elsewhere??? That alone is a sign of poor judgment & weak character. Wouldn’t trust him one iota.

I know. I think if the journalist in question (I can’t remember who - was it on Newsnight?) had known how profound its effect would be, Gove would have been challenged on that line. It was the beginning of the end for trust and integrity.

That doesn't seem to bother Labour though or at least not anymore. Otherwise how would you explain Nick Thomas-Symonds', Labour, speech a few days ago at The Spector's office where the snake Gove is editor now? Very odd! But then Labour is now as pro-Brexit as the Tories and Reform.
