Strangers should not be approaching children on school property to talk to them for any reason. They can approach the school administration or get permission from a parent. Nobody is going to give permission for ICE to harass US citizens especially not children.
I really hope we’ll be able to find out every name of every ice agent who worked during this Trump administration. I wouldn’t put it past these ICE agents to sexually abuse the people they’re going after. What recourse would their victims have?? ICE knows they are untouchable under Trump.

This dude is a baller, and his advice is solid. 5th amendment right against self-incrimination, 4th against illegal search and seizure. Officers will try to cajole you into waiving these rights, really despicable that they were preying on kids.

Are we certain they aren't one and the same here? But yeah, you raise an excellent point. Plus they're minors who they shouldn't be speaking to without the presence of an adult. It's not just morally wrong, but potentially even legally wrong as well.

I'm generally not a conspiracy theorist either, but you don't have to be one to know that law enforcement types regularly find themselves on the wrong end of a child sex crime prosecution. So my suggestion wasn't all that much of a stretch. Either way, I concede that that's not the main story here.
Not every kid is lucky enough to have such a coach. I also find it extremely frustrating that more and more people are driven from their exeryday life (sports, mass, college...) for fear of ICE just because they don't look American enough for the MAGA hats.
