They'd send HR to measure the square footage of your cubicle. If you went to a community college they'd put you in a slightly smaller cube than people that went to a private college. Consider, all cubes were about 9-16 square feet. Advanced degree let you park a couple of rows closer to the door 😂

I actually went through exactly that process when an evil military contractor acquired the company where I worked. Difference was, I was the "Bob" and interviewers were the "Peters". Used to be they'd interview you and threaten termination to cheat you down on wages. Now they just send an email.
