True, but also the last time Dems held the House they passed a sweeping reform bill that was then blocked by McConnell in the Senate. Our problem is rooted in Senate filibuster rules, and the apportionment in the Senate itself, which will always tilt conservative.
I share your frustration by the way, but also struggle to find what else can be done; there are currently several gun control bills in the House already, but they are actively squashed by Johnson, et al. So without *Republicans* willing to jump ranks, there's no way to move those.
